Physiology is derived from word “ Physiologikos” Greek word meaning discourse on natural knowledge It is more fascinating and ancient branch of medical science it states that noting is supernatural in world and therefore to support it subject on unfolds the mystery of complicated functional aspects of individual organ in body and its role in formation of organ system subject exists ever since origin of life before origin of society its culture and even before development of language of expression man can feel pain hunger fear, thirst, anger, etc which is basis of physiology.
Department is well established in area of 206 sq. mt. and bears separate laboratories for Hematology and Biochemistry as well bears a separate museum cum demonstration hall along with separate office for HOD and staff. Labs consisting of all essential equipment’s like colorimeter, PH meter all glass double distillation apparatus, Haemocytometer, centrifuge etc. Adequate clinical knowledge is provided with instrument like sphymonometer, sthograph, perimeter, spyrometer, edrige green lanterm, ECG macine etc. museum is enriched with about 100 charts, 16 models and 25 books for reference department consist of all essential things to fulfill MSR according to Central Council Homoeopathy, New Delhi.
Departmental staffs consist of professor and HOD Dr. Viplav Kavishwar is M.D. (Hom.) and bars 11 years of teaching experience. Dr. Kulsum Sameen is lecturer she is M.D (Hom.) and bears 3 years of teaching experience. A guest Associate Professor Dr. R.S. Wadodkar M.B.B.S. bearing 40 years of teaching experience.
Different methods are practiced for teachings like lectures, practical’s, tutorials, discussion, audiovisual aid seminar presentation etc.
Result are ever improving for department with around 60% passing percentage students are encouraged by awarding late Dr. J.D. Dede memorial award and prize we are always ready to support student to improve studies with revision classes, special classes for repeaters and slow learners etc. because we are proud to be part of institute which cares for academic environment.
